The annual 12 South Winter Warmer is December 7, 2013 at Sevier Park in 12South. Yes, it’s 2 months away, so you may be wondering why we’re telling you about it now. Well, the tickets go on sale tomorrow. And last year, they sold out in less than 20 minutes. You see, this is a small beer festival – not small in quantity, but small in space. Sevier Park is a not-large park in the lovely 12South neighborhood. It has no parking. Parking is available on the streets, so they really try to minimize the impact on the community. Which is nice. The festival is also rather small because so many of the beers offered are very rare and sometimes only exist at the Winter Warmer. Which is pretty cool. So far, these breweries are participating: The Black Abbey Brewing Company, Blackstone, Boscos, Calfkiller, Chattanooga Brewing Co., Cool Springs Brewery, Fat Bottom Brewing, Jackalope, Mayday, Turtle Anarchy, Yazoo, Abita, BBC, Blue Pants Brewery, Brooklyn Brewery, Flat 12 Bierwerks, Good People, Green Flash, Highland, Lagunitas, Lucky Bucket, New Belgium, Olde Hickory, Oskar Blues, Red Brick, Rivertown, Schlafly, Shmaltz, Sierra Nevada, Starr Hill, Stone Brewing Co., Straight To Ale, and Terrapin. And those are just the ones announced 2 months before the festival! It will continue to change.
