5.3. Salon@615

Salon@615 is a collaborative event between the Nashville Public Library, Humanities Tennessee, Parnassus Books, and the Nashville Public Library Foundation. It’s a series that presents best-selling authors free to the public for author talks and book signings. Colin Powell, Chris Cleave, Caroline Kennedy, Barbara Kingsolver, Jon Meacham, Ann Patchett, Roy Blount Jr. and T.C. Boyle are some of the authors that have participated since the series inception in 2011. This year’s authors are stacking up to be pretty stellar with a Pulitzer winner, New York Times bestseller, Oprah Book Club selected author, and other fantastic writers. Anne Lamott, Elizabeth Strout, Cheryl Strayed, Isabel Allende, and Augusten Burroughs are on the schedule to appear in April and May.

All events are free but are ticketed. You can get an advance ticket for the $2.50 service fee or you can get a ticket 30 minutes prior to the event. Most events are in the auditorium at the Main Library Downtown, but check the website for details.

Very cool, very cheap event – good for every age.
